Leppämäen yhteismetsä

The first company co-founded by Korpi founders Mikko Leppänen and Tatu Mäkimartti was a forestry service firm established in 2007. Although this company was not a success story, the founders' interest in the forestry sector remained. Finally, in the summer of 2016, the paths of Mikko, Tatu, and Samuli Leppänen crossed.

At that time, Samuli had already built a diverse career in forestry as a forest planner, forestry inspector, and in wood procurement functions for a prominent forest industry company. A shared vision for investing in forest was formed with Samuli, and a jointly owned forest was chosen as the form of joint ownership. The founding documents of Leppämäen yhteismetsä were signed in December 2016.

Leppämäen yhteismetsä engages in economically and ecologically sustainable forestry with its partners. The goal of Leppämäen yhteismetsä is to be the largest and most profitable private jointly owned forest in Finland. On its path to meet these aspirations, the jointly owned forest relies on the experience of its partners and its founders in the economic and forestry sector.

During its early years, Leppämäen yhteismetsä has grown rapidly. Samuli joined the jointly owned forest full-time in the spring of 2018, and in 2020 the joint forest reached 5,000 hectares of forest property. The story of Leppämäen yhteismetsä is off to a good start.
